Tymor Marine is a Marine and Naval Architectural consultancy with offices in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Lafayette. We carry out a range of design and analysis functions such as vessel and rig stability & modifications, seafastening of cargo and equipment, subsea deployment analysis, mooring analysis and offshore equipment design and modification. In addition, our experienced mariners and engineers provide a range of consultancy functions such as providing expert legal advice, developing marine operations & emergency response procedures and manuals, acting as offshore marine representatives, performing vessel audits and performing wave climate and operability analyses. Tymor Marine provides detailed specialist knowledge of vessels, rigs and structures to complement our clients' project expertise. We provide our services to the offshore, shipping and defence industries.
Tymor prides itself on its mix of theoretical expertise coupled with practical marine experience, giving our experienced Naval Architects, Mariners and Offshore Engineers a first-hand appreciation of the challenges of working in a hostile environment.
Stability is a specific area of expertise and we utilise our MOSIS system to determine the centre of gravity of vessels whilst they remain in service and on dayrate. MOSIS is an accepted and proven alternative to the traditional inclining experiment at a fraction of the cost.
The team at Tymor Marine have also carried out projects ranging from seafastening multimillion dollar project cargoes, to checking the stability and determining the number of rescued migrants Naval Patrol vessels can carry on deck. Other projects of note are the design of a horizontal lay system support structure and chute and the seafastening of barges moored inside the hulls of the Pioneering Spirit which were used as a platform for its naming ceremony.
Tymor Marine’s objective is to develop innovative engineering solutions that provide tangible benefits and cost reduction.
