Tubacex is an industrial Group founded in 1963 devoted to manufacturing seamless tubes in stainless steel and high-nickel alloys and superalloys, with its head office in Llodio (Alava-Spain).
Tubacex is a leading multinational Group, with industrial facilities in Spain, Austria, the United States, Italy, India and Thailand, a global distribution network (TSS) and a worldwide sales presence.
Tubacex is the largest worldwide producer of seamless tubes in stainless steel and high-nickel alloys, and one of the few companies to have an integrated production: steel manufacturing, hot extrusion and cold-rolling of the tubes. The existence of our own steelworks provides the facilities with a large flexibility in the production of tubes, both for the opportunity of making special castings as well as reducing delivery times in urgent orders. The Group has a unique marketing structure for its products on a worldwide level.
The main demand segments for the tubes manufactured by Tubacex are the oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical and power generation industries. It also devotes part of its production to the mechanical industry, aerospace, food, water desalination, electronics, capital goods and new technologies, among other industries.
INNOVATION IN HIGH VALUE-ADDED PRODUCTS
In line with its strategic vision, TUBACEX Group is moving forward in its value proposal, offering comprehensive solutions with a high technological value and a wide range of tailor-made value-added services for its customers (finishing operations, advanced surface treatments, logistics, pre-manufacturing, etc.) with the final objective of increasing the global efficiency of customer projects and processes, hence reducing the total cost for the customer or the total cost of ownership.
All this is possible thanks to our commitment to the development of R&D and Innovation capabilities and the development of new products and processes for highly demanding applications, as well as innovation management under the principles of Open Innovation, which facilitates the integration of capabilities and knowledge of a business network, including clients, suppliers, research centres and partners in general, among others. This undoubtedly implies qualitative progress in approaching end users to offer them a global solution. During 2017, the sale of new products represented 35% of the sales volume. In addition, the year ended with a sales percentage of 60% regarding high technological value products.
SALES IN OVER 100 COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD
During the year 2017, TUBACEX has sold its products in over 100 countries around the world. Sales in Europe, the natural market of the company, accounted for 58%. Asia is the fastest growing region with 32% of the total sales. Finally, the United States and Canada, accounted for 9% of the total.

The main sectors demanding the tubes manufactured by TUBACEX are the oil and gas, petrochemical and power generation industries, which accounted for over 90% of the Group's sales.
